Twelve-Finger Threshold
Bhairava
Focus on a subtle point just beyond the body, often described as a little distance from the center or head. As attention becomes very still there, thoughts can quiet down on their own. In that stillness, the deepest truth is said to become obvious.
सिधत् स्वशरीरस्य द्वादशान्ते मनोलयात् । दृढिुद्धेदृधढीभूतं तत्त्वलक्ष्यं प्रितधते ॥ ५० ॥
siddheṣu svaśarīrasya dvādaśānte manolayāt | dṛḍhībhūte dṛḍhībhūtaṃ tattvalakṣyaṃ pravartate || 50 ||
Translation
In the perfected body, through the dissolution of mind at the twelve-finger point of one’s own body, the fixed, fully established goal of reality becomes manifest.
Let the mind dissolve at the subtle twelve-finger locus so that reality itself becomes directly apparent.
