Resting the Mind in the Void
Bhairava
This method uses a simple object as a stepping stone. You look steadily, then allow the act of seeing to move past the object, as if awareness is passing through a window into open space. The result is a quiet inner emptiness that can hold both mind and knowing.

Translation
Fixing the gaze slowly on some object, let the sight go outward; then, O Devi, that knowledge together with the mind becomes a dwelling in emptiness.
Let the gaze settle gently on an object and then move beyond it so cognition abides in emptiness.
