Verse 119Body
Release the Ground Under the Body
Bhairava
This verse asks you to stop leaning mentally on things you are remembering or seeing. Then, instead of feeling like a solid body sitting on the ground, imagine that the body has no support. In that loosened state, awareness can feel spacious and expansive.
वस्तुषु स्मयधमाणेषु दृष्टे देशे मनस् त्यजेत् । स्वशरीरं निराधारं कृत्वा प्रसरवत् प्रभुः ॥ ११९ ॥
vijñānabhairava tantram vastuṣu smaryamāṇeṣu dṛṣṭe deśe manas tyajet | svaśarīraṃ nirādhāraṃ kṛtvā prasarat prabhuḥ || 119 ||
Translation
When objects are being remembered, in the seen place, one should abandon the mind; making one’s own body supportless, the Lord expands.
Let go of mental fixation on objects and sense the body as unsupported so awareness can widen freely.
