Verse 117Awareness
Trace Consciousness to Its Source
Bhairava
Any time awareness appears through sight, hearing, touch, or another sense, you can use that moment as a doorway inward. Instead of getting lost in the object, notice the pure knowing itself. If you stay with that bare presence, the busy mind can fall away.
यि यिाक्षमागेण चैतन्यं व्यज्यते विभो् । तस्य तन्मािधवमधत्वावच्चल्लयाद्भवरतात्मता ॥ ११७ ॥
yatra yatra akṣamārgeṇa caitanyaṃ vyajyate vibhoḥ | tasya tanmātradharmatvāc cittalayo bhavet || 117 ||
Translation
Wherever, through any sense-channel, consciousness manifests, by following that reality as only that single quality, the mind dissolves.
Follow any sensory emergence of consciousness back to its pure, simple essence until thought dissolves.
