Verse 89Dissolution
Entry through Sense Interruption
Bhairava
If one of your senses is briefly blocked or interrupted, attention can turn inward. The verse says that when this happens and you enter a deep inner emptiness, your true self shows up clearly. It is like noticing the room's silence after a loud sound stops.
yasya kasyendriyasyaapi vyāghātāc ca nirodhataḥ | praviṣṭasyādvaye śūnye tatrāivātmā prakāśate || 89 ||
Translation
When any sense faculty is interrupted and restrained, upon entering the nondual void, there the Self shines forth.
Use sensory interruption as a doorway into the nondual void where the Self becomes self-evident.
