Absorption in Clear Sky

Bhairava

Look at open sky or a clear expanse without letting your attention jump around. As your gaze stays steady, your inner feeling of being a separate, busy self can pause. In that quiet openness, you may sense a vast presence rather than a small individual self.

ākāśaṃ vimalam paśyan kṛtvā dṛṣṭiṃ nirantarām | stabdhātmā tatkṣaṇād devi bhairavaṃ vapur āpnuyāt || 84 ||

Translation

Seeing the pure, clear sky and keeping one's gaze continuous and unmoving, with the self made still, one immediately attains the body of Bhairava, O Devi.

Fix the gaze on clear open space until the mind becomes motionless and identifies with Bhairava's expansive nature.
