Verse 45Space
Heart and Root Void
Bhairava
Bring attention to the back, the base, and the heart, and imagine them as open spaces. Try to feel all three at once without naming or analyzing them. When the mind stops dividing experience, a very clear and quiet awareness can appear.
पृष्टशून्यं मूलशून्यं हृच्छून्यं भाियेविरम् । युगपवन्नविधकल्पत्वावन्नविधकल्पोदयस्तत् ॥ ४५ ॥
pṛṣṭaśūnyaṃ mūlaśūnyaṃ hṛcchūnyaṃ bhāvayed dhṛvam | yugapannivikalpatvānnivikalpodayastataḥ || 45 ||
Translation
One should firmly contemplate the void of the back, the void of the root, and the void of the heart. Because of simultaneous non-conceptuality, there arises the dawning of non-conceptual awareness.
Hold several inner centers as empty at once until thought drops away and naked awareness shines forth.
