Verse 79Body
Seated Stillness and Raised Arms
Bhairava
This is a posture-based meditation: sit in a stable way and bring attention to the open space around the underarms. The body becomes the anchor, and the mind has less reason to wander. As attention stays there, restfulness deepens.
विज्ञानभैरव तन्त्रम् उपविश्यासने सम्यविाहू कृत्वाधधकुवञ्चतौ । कक्षव्योवि मन् कुिधन् शममायावत तल्लयात् ॥ ७९ ॥
upaviśyāsane samyag bāhū kṛtvordhvakubcitau | kakṣavyomni manḥ kṛtvā śamam āyāti tal-layāt || 79 ||
Translation
Seated properly on the seat, with both arms raised and curved upward, by placing the mind in the space of the armpits, it comes to peace through dissolution.
Use a specific seated posture and bodily attention point to let the mind settle into stillness and dissolve.
