Vijñāna Bhairava as Tantra Essence

Here Devi names the teaching and says it captures the core of a much larger body of wisdom. She also says that what was hidden in different teachings has now become clear. It is like being shown the central thread that ties many teachings together.
विज्ञानभैरव तन्त्रम् रुद्रयामलतन्त्रस्य सारमद्यािधावरतम् । सिधशविप्रभेदानां हृदयं ज्ञातमद्य च ॥ १६२ ॥
vijñānabhairava tantram rudrayāmalatantrasya sāram adyādhigatam | siddhaśivaprabhेदānāṃ hṛdayaṃ jñātam adya ca || 162 ||
Translation
This is the Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra, today realized as the essence of the Rudrayāmala Tantra; and today the heart of the distinctions among the perfected Siddhas and Śivas has been known.
Devi identifies the text as the essence of a larger tradition and says its inner heart and key distinctions have now been directly understood.
