Verse 149Dissolution

Fire Offering in Empty Consciousness

Bhairava

Imagine taking everything you notice—your body, senses, thoughts, and outer things—and offering them into a fire inside awareness. This is not a physical fire but a way to let experience dissolve into a deeper stillness. The “ladle” is your own conscious attention.

विज्ञानभैरव तन्त्रम् महाशून्यालये िह्नौ भूताक्षविषयावदकम् । हूयते मनसा साधं स होमश्चेतनास्रुचा ॥ १४९ ॥

vijñānabhairava tantram mahāśūnyālaye vahniu bhūtākṣi-viṣayādikam | hūyate manasā sārdhaṃ sa homo cetanāsrucā || 149 ||

Translation

Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra. In the great abode of emptiness, the elements, senses, objects, and so on are offered into the fire together with the mind; that oblation is made with the ladle of consciousness.

The verse teaches inner sacrifice: all experience is mentally offered into the fire of empty awareness until only consciousness remains.
