Verse 125Nonduality
Equalizing Honor and Dishonor
Bhairava
This verse asks you to stay balanced whether people treat you well or badly. When you know yourself as already complete, praise and insult lose their power. It is like standing in a strong center while waves come and go around you.
विज्ञानभैरव तन्त्रम् सम् शिौ च वमिे च समो मानािमानयो् ॥ ब्रह्मण् पवरपूणधत्वावदवत ज्ञात्वा सुखी भवेत् ॥ १२५ ॥
samaṃ śatrau ca mitre ca samo mānāvamānayoḥ || brahmaṇaḥ paripūrṇatvād iti jñātvā sukī bhavet || 125 ||
Translation
One who is equal toward enemy and friend, and equal toward honor and dishonor, knowing this through the full completeness of Brahman, becomes happy.
Cultivate inner equality so praise and blame, friend and foe, do not disturb the sense of completeness.
