Breath Wandering and Returning
Bhairava
This verse points to the movement of breath and life energy in and out of the body. By noticing that motion carefully, you can sense a deeper presence behind it. It is like watching waves and realizing they all come from the same sea.
विज्ञानभैरव तन्त्रम् व्रजेत् प्राणो विशेज्जीि इच्छया कुवटलाकृवत् । दीघाधत्मा सा महादेवी परक्षेिम् परापरा ॥ १५४ ॥
vijñānabhairava tantram | vrajet prāṇo viśej jīva icchayā kuṭilākṛtiḥ | dīrghātmā सा mahādevī para-kṣetram parāparā || 154 ||
Translation
The prāṇa goes out and the living being enters by will, with a winding form. That long Self is Mahādevī, the supreme and lower field.
It directs attention to the subtle movement of life-force and its source, using breath awareness as a path to the देवी’s presence.
