Verse 106Nonduality
Watching the Subject-Object Split
Bhairava
Normally, we feel like there is a “me” looking at a separate “thing.” This verse says advanced practice is to notice that split very clearly. When you see it, you are less trapped by it.
grāhya-grāhaka-sattvaṃ sāmānyaṃ siddhadehinām | yogināṃ tu viśeṣo 'sti sambandhe sāvadhānatā || 106 ||
Translation
For perfected beings, the existence of the grasped and the grasper is ordinary. But for yogins, the special practice is mindfulness in relation to that connection.
Notice the subject-object structure itself, and remain alert to it without unconsciously falling into it.
